Harry’s Haven is primarily a private residence in Ballard. Located in a storefront/loft in an historic building, the space has been used as an art studio, construction office, and possibly a hair salon at one time, but was originally the garage and loading dock for the Curtiss Building.Harry lives and works here as a computer technology consultant. Over the years he has frequently hosted free performances (live music and spoken word) and film screenings, raising funds for artists and charities through voluntary contributions. Harry’s Haven is a unique space for special events in an intimate setting.Because space is actually rather limited, we project films on to a bed-sheet in front of the store front window. With the blinds open, the film is visible from the sidewalk and street (of course it is in reverse however — try watching a film with subtitles backwards!) Speakers can be placed outside so that passersby can enjoy the soundtrack as well. However: due to the nature of this film and the kind of behavior it may encourage, and out of respect for our guests’ privacy and safety, this will be a “blinds closed” screening. As a result, attendance will be limited to 25 and will be by RSVP only.Beer on tap and other non-alcoholic beverages will be provided, but you may want to bring your own snack(s). House opens at 7:00pm. Screening at 8:20.

  2. Hi Kurt and Lisa,

I hope to be able to order some official t-shirts but not sure if they will be available and shipped before 4/20.

Maybe we should wait and see if we *actually like* this movie before we buy ourselves shirts! ;)

    Glad you’re coming.
