It’s official — the wraps are on 4/20. We have 1,100 confirmed events all across the country this Sunday. Thanks to you, this will be the largest single day opening ever — EVER — for a documentary. For those keeping score at home, Fahrenheit 9/11 opened at 868 theaters, with a multi-million dollar marketing budget.
We expect 40,000 people to attend public and private Super High Me events on 4/20. We can’t wait to hear — and see — how your 4/20 is.
And if you didn’t make it in time to host a 4/20 screening, have no fear. Free Roll Your Own screenings will continue through 5/20. See you all this weekend.
[…] Super High Me is being shown for free at 1,100 locations throughout the country. Yes, you read that number correctly. The movie creators decided the best way to publicize the film […]
had a screening set up for 4/20 since march 27th….. come to find out just registering for a screening does not mean you will get the dvd unless you go to the b-side store and purchase the dvd… and even then you will still have to wait till june 19th before you get it….. I e-mailed b-side several times on how to go about receiving the dvd before my screening and did not even get a reply… thanks b-side for the clear and concise instructions
sorry you did not find the instruction clear. we emailed every person who registered (yourself included) at least 4 times, and you received at least one personal email in addition to that.
the instructions on the checkout page (http://www.superhighmemovie.com/screening-kit/) clearly state that you need to order the screening kit to screen this month.
to clarify one thing, the dvd for sale on the store page is a pre-order of the retail dvd that ships on 6/17. however, the screening kit does include a dvd. we shipped out over 1,100 in the past 2 weeks.
it’s not too late to hold a screening - they are available through 5/20. again, sorry if the instructions were unclear, but it’s not too late.
hook a brother up by 5/20, I’ll watch it at 4:20……
